"Slocken"

"Slocken" is a Marlborough-based band which plays Celtic and Appalachian music. We specialize in the playing of dance music - mostly for 'ceilidh' (celtic dance occasions). The line-up is 'fiddle', 'guitar' and 'bodhran' (celtic drum) and for the dances we have a caller to lead those involved through the dance steps. Our focus is on FUN! playing music that people can enjoy by either just listening or by joining in dances. We have played at weddings, birthday parties, fund-raising ceilidh, school fairs, concerts and regularly play on Monday nights at Seumus' Irish Bar in Picton. We are happy to play gigs across the Top-of-the-South.
